Internet telephone calls are fast becoming a national security threat that must be countered with new police wiretap rules, according to an FBI proposal presented quietly to regulators this month that try to trace a mobile phone number. VoIP to VoIP phone calls are sometimes free, while VoIP to public switched telephone networks, PSTN, may have a cost that is borne by the VoIP user. But once that turns into 10 to 15 calls a day it becomes a more serious and immediate problem, especially if the phone calls are of a disturbing nature.
