Getting ready for school
The school supply lists came in the mail yesterday. Just thinking about how much the school spends on mailing these out makes me wonder why they can’t afford to buy pencils for students? I think the only thing my kids don’t have to take in on the first day of school is toilet paper.
I remember when I was a kid and the only thing you took to school on the first day was your JanSport backpack, your lunch, and maybe some cute folders with puffy stickers on them! Then usually the homework that first week was to put covers on your books, usually made out of paper shopping bags or the backside of leftover holiday wrapping paper.
