Gated Community With Locking Multi Unit Mailboxes
The new Board of Directors of our gated community had requested that all home owners have a locking mailbox. The board asked for a group of home owners to head up a committee to search for a locking mailbox that wasn’t too expensive and would adhere to the atmosphere of the community.
Many hours were spent searching for the perfect locking mailbox for the community. The committee chose three different styles of locking mailboxes. We took the three different choices to the Board of Directors, who then put the pictures as well as the features of each locking mailbox on a ballot.
I have to say that I though the Board was being a little ridiculous in their request for matching locking mailboxes… but I must say that I was wrong. We voted for multi unit mailboxes. Now instead of a single mailbox in front of each home we have a mulit unit of four mailboxes or a quad centered between every 4th house. It looks so much nicer, less cluttered, and provides security and privacy to those of us that don’t pick our mail up every day.
