Forms Of Noise Induced Hearing Loss
When thinking about industrial hearing loss most people conjure up an image of a workman digging up concrete with a pneumatic drill and without wearing adequate ear protection. Whilst that is a very valid scenario it must be realised that noise induced hearing loss can occur in all forms of business; be it a commercial office or a building site. Some of the most common forms of industrial deafness occurs from someone using a machine in a ship’s engine room, or gas turbine for performance testing on a test bed, installation testing of a replacement engine in an aircraft, or acceptance testing of an Armed Service fixed wing combat aircraft.
