Having worked for a company who provided life services for people with disabilities, security was an important factor to the business. Not only because they cared about their clients, but because there were state regulations about the security of the clients as well. That is why we used one of those plastic ID card printer systems to ID our staff. While we didn’t want our employees to look institutional, it was important that the caregivers look as if they were someone that could handel a problem if one were to arise (such as a client stealing from a store or hitting a child), and the ID badges elicited that feeling.
